In the greater scheme of things, how essential can boy bands possibly be?

2/10 VARIOUS ARTISTS – ESSENTIAL BOYBANDS (DAVID GRESHAM)

Did the world have to be subjected to groups like Backstreet Boys (Everybody), Westlife (Flying Without Wings) and Blue (One Love)? What makes this collection of cheesy anthems like N’Sync’s It’s Gonna Be Me and Everybody Get Up from Five are images of the bands’ choreography, complete with black leather outfits and impeccable hair. Just like both World Wars and all of Leon Schuster’s films, the era of boy  bands should have never taken place.

It is up to the next generation and today’s world leaders to ensure that humanity is never dragged through songs such as Indecent Obsession’s Kiss Me and All For One’s I Swear. Do not tell anyone you have a copy of this disc. – SM
