Big Daddy burger contest at Emerald
12 June 2012 | The Citizen
Accepting the first challenge are representatives from the Vaal Vikings and Vereeniging rugby clubs who have stood up to be counted.
With back-up and support from community radio stations IFM and 90.6FM and community newspaper Vaalweekblad, these men of steel will take up the challenge laid before them.
In a classic contest of Man vs Food which asks brave participants to Bust THIS burger – including fries and a draught of Castle beer or a milkshake – within 20 minutes and earn a coveted T-shirt stating “I bust the Big Daddy @ Breeze”.
In addition, successful challengers will be immortalised on the Breeze Wall of Fame.
Attempting this feat is not for the faint of heart. Courage, strong will, a big appetite and a desire to win is required to conquer this challenge.
The burger is not called Big Daddy without reason.
The burger itself is a kilogram of triple patties, triple bacon and triple cheese with grilled onions and French fries.
