Both the Jazz Monate and Afro-Beatz sessions will open on Sundays at 3pm.

Hosted by celebrated jazz presenter Mesh Mapetla, known to his many fans as ‘‘Bra-Mesh’’.

The Jazz Monate shows will also feature well known jazz music DJs.

The Jazz Monate sessions are an appreciation of all things jazz, from cool jazz to traditional jazz, modal jazz, free jazz, Latin jazz, soul jazz, jazz fusion, jazz funk, smooth jazz, nu jazz, and every other conceivable derivative of the genre.

Jazz greats from Louis Armstrong to Duke Ellington and Robbie Jansen will be celebrated along with living artists from South Africa and the rest of the world.

And if the DJ beat is more to your liking, don’t miss popular DJs at the Afro Beatz DJ sessions as they spin Afro-Soul, Soul and R&B tracks.

Entry into the  Carnival City Sports Bar is R100 and includes both entrance and a meal.

Tickets are available from the entrance to the bar.
