Now in its eighth year, this year’s event on Saturday, 22 September, promises to be even more exciting than the last.

In stark contrast to traditional horse racing, the entire family is catered for, with an entire day of festivities planned. Racing can be viewed, up close and personal, from the picnic area located next to the racetrack where braais will be available.

Die Heuwels Fantasties, Toya Delazy and DJ Vin Deysel are the headline acts premiering the 2012 Emerald Cup.

The children’s entertainment area will include face painters, a magician, stilt walker, juggler/unicyclist, a kiddies’ carousel, and a gladiator jumping castle plus so much more.

Entrance is free for everyone attending this year’s event which will be hosted at the Vaal racecourse.
