An economy run into the ground

Mojalefa C Thato (March 12) in your final paragraph you state: “As things stand, blacks have not had much of a role in the running of this country’s economy”.

I beg to differ.

Those very people you refer to have had a major role in running this country’s economy into the ground.

One just has to look at the poor quality of education; the failed health system (Heaven help us if the National Health Insurance  gets off the ground); non-existent public services: rampant corruption throughout the whole of the ANC set-up.

Just to name a few of the problems we face.

I think you should take the wood out of your eye and see what has happened to a once thriving economy.
