Zapiro must consider ‘the pain he creates’

The nature of the cartoons that Jonathan Shapiro has produced in recent times speaks volumes of his character.

His latest cartoon has shed a bad light on his personality and his profession.

To depict President Jacob Zuma as a penis is nothing short of despicable.
It is distasteful and vulgar.

It smacks of provocation, personal vendetta and perhaps also an attempt to promote the sale of the Mail & Guardian newspaper

To think that one can trample on the feelings of other human beings and think nothing of it is sad.

It’s not often that people desecrate the human dignity of another human being in such a frivolous manner without remorse.

It appears that Shapiro’s personal sentiments have affected  his soul to such an extent that he does not regard  Zuma as a human being who has a heart and who feels hurt and pain just like any other human being.

Shapiro’s obsession with hating Zuma has clouded his professionalism.

I condemn the defamation of character that Zapiro’s latest cartoon represents. It is distasteful, to say the least.
