Incredible that Motshekga is still in office

In any true democracy Angie Motshekga would have resigned by now, writes PULENG MMILA by e-mail.
We must feel ashamed of ourselves that we are prepared to march over a so-called violation of individual dignity but we are mum on issues of importance such as education.
No task team will change the fact that the future of our children in Limpopo has been ruined and that is bound to haunt them forever.
It boggles my mind that the Minister of Basic Education still holds her position.
She might attempt to absolve herself of any wrongdoing by blaming suppliers, but the buck stops with her.
In my view this is the most serious scandal ever to occur 18 years into our democracy and the fact that no action has been taken against Angie Motshekga is a sign that the government does not take the future of our children or education seriously.
If this scandal had been perpetrated by a white-led administration we would have heard no end about how racist that government is towards our children, but now that it was perpetrated by a black ruling party no rhetoric is spewed.
How hypocritical.
We must exercise our civic duty by demanding that the minister resign if she does not do the honourable thing herself.
