Fast justice
10 July 2012 | ANDREW CLARK Benoni
In The Citizen (July 10) there are two speeding incidents mentioned. In the first one Adam Hack received a R1 500 fine for driving at 188km/h in a 120km/h zone.
Then just two pages further on Andy McCauley, driving at 212km/h, receives an R80 000 fine and a suspended sentence.
There is a 24km/h difference.
Do they look at the car the perpetrator drives (note both cars were worth more than R1 million) and then issue fines accordingly? Strange.
