In glazer’s debt

Manchester United’s debt is surely obscene, but not so unusual in top clubs nowadays.

However, United’s on-going success was never about buying trophies, in contrast to the Chelseas of this world.

Last season Manchester United’s mostly young and inexpensive team, still in transition, came within a hair’s breadth of winning the Premiership.

This year, with another year’s experience under their belts for Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Antonio Valencia,  Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck, they should be even more competitive.
