Picture imperfect

The tendency for the media, especially newspapers, to always show pictures of the Dewani couple in “happier” times whenever the subject of Shrien Dewani’s trial and extradition comes up must be painful for the parents of Anni Dewani.

They are still waiting for closure and for the alleged murderer to face the  law.

This must be frustrating for them as it turns out that all the pictures do is remind them that the couple’s “marital bliss” turned  out to be nothing but a sham.

Such insensitivity should be avoided. Anni Dewani’s parents deserve consoling, not reminders of a period in their daughter’s life that was anything but happy!
