No more stiff upper lip after reading Gordin

I would like to thank your Jeremy Gordin for his informative Citizen Gordin column of September 26.

Citizen Gordin’s ‘Bored stiff with Juju’ inadvertently alerted me to a condition I suffer from myself, writes TAFFY by e-mail.

Although it was titled “Bored stiff with Juju”, it was full of interesting stuff.

The “stuff” that was of particular interest to me was the fact that he had suffered from chronic stiffness in the limbs  due to his cholesterol pills.

I, too, was put on these statins over a year ago and have been hobbling about in the mornings like a geriatric with back pains and leg pains, thinking I was ageing before my time.

So Mr Gordin’s  little item  was a godsend to me!

I scurried off to my doctor and he confirmed this as a side effect of so-called statins and he cut my dosage in half, and the difference has been amazing.

Thank you, Jeremy!
