CAPE TOWN - The group comprised civil society organisation representatives and individuals.
Capetonian Neil Goodwin, dressed as the Grim Reaper, wielded a replica panga and an enlarged copy of the Constitution.
He also hung the logo of the ANC around his neck.
"I'm saying the ANC are running roughshod over the constitution daily. It's not just about the death of miners, it's about what's happening all over the country," Goodwin said.
"It's just a symptom of what's going on. Ultimately it comes down to the Constitution and the Constitution is under attack constantly by businessmen, by corporations."
A total of 34 people were killed and 78 injured in a shootout that erupted near the mine on Thursday when police tried to disperse striking miners.
The Workers International Vanguard Party's Shaheed Mohamed joined protesters and blamed the ANC and alliance partners for the shooting.
"We feel the Cosatu leaders are in collusion with the ANC government, in collusion with the bosses and complicit in the murder and massacre of these workers," said Mohamed.
