Pickets demand Limpopo MEC’s resignation

Members of the youth league, Congress of South Africa Students, SA Students Congress, SA Democratic Teachers Union (Sadtu), parents and teachers will picket outside the department of education offices in Polokwane today.

JOHANNESBURG -  They will  demand the resignation of Dickson Masemola, the MEC for education.

League spokesman Klaas Mabunda said the picketing would continue for the rest of the month.

“Comrade Dickson Masemola is unfit to run the department of  education. The textbooks debacle happened under his watch. He has failed the children of this province. He must resign.

“We are going to picket outside the department of education  building for the rest of the month and we will be holding morning demonstrations from tomorrow outside the department of education offices,” Mabunda said.
