13 July 2012 | sports staff
It all comes down to this weekend’s final round of preliminary matches with the chance of three South African teams – the Stormers, Bulls and Sharks – still making the play-offs.
There are two South African derbies tomorrow – the Bulls hosting the Lions at Loftus and the Cheetahs travelling to Durban to face the Sharks.
In total eight teams can still make the play-offs, with only two – the Stormers and the Chiefs – guaranteed of their positions.
And Super Saturday Citizen will be there this weekend to bring you all the action.
There’s also our British Open preview, where we present all the facts, history and figures ahead of next week’s third Major of the year at Royal Lytham and St Annes – where our golf writer Tammy Patterson will be in attendance.
The Tour de France also reaches its second week of racing tomorrow with plenty at stake, there is the Coca-Cola Craven Week in Port Elizabeth and Graeme Joffe interviews new Cobras coach Paul Adams in Blast from the Past.
There’s the Italian MotoGP, our build-up to next week’s first cricket Test between England and South Africa at The Oval and there are the usual columns from Jake White, Neil McKenzie and Jon Swift.
All for just R5.
