The first of several events to raise funds for a South African onslaught on a Guinness World Record will take place in Krugersdorp on Sunday.

The venue will be the Biltong Cafe on the corner of Ontdekkers and Voortrekker Roads.

Earlier this year local stuntmen Enrico Schoeman and André de Kock  rode a Kawasaki powered Australian sidecar through a 66-metre  fire tunnel at the Tarlton Raceway.
They plan to tackle a 100-metre long tunnel before the end of the year.

The pair need to raise money for the tunnel’s materials, plus the petrol and diesel used to engulf the structure in flames.

VIDEOS

The Biltong Cafe, a favourite watering hole for Gauteng bikers, will offer varied entertainment on Sunday starting with videos of the previous record run and a talk by the two stuntmen.

Motorsport artist Michael Rogers has donated two framed prints of his painting of WSBK champion Troy Bayliss. These will be auctioned during the afternoon.

Starting at noon, there will also be music – either via a band or a DJ.

Admission will cost R50 per person which will include a boerewors roll and the chance to meet some very special biker friends.

To find out more, call Liza at 083 949 7335 or the Biltong Cafe at 082 080 5668.
