Warehouse, catering equipment for sale
06 July 2012 | The Citizen
Today the Auction Group will sell 30 000 doors at a clearance auction in the warehouse section of Auction Park, the company’s nerve centre at 10 President Street in Germiston.
Apart from the vast amount of doors coming up for sale – most probably an auction record – Consolidated will also offer: ceramic tiles, 16-32mm chipboard and all-colour formica sheets, general hardware, woodworking machinery as well as office and household furniture.
The whopper of a warehouse auction will be held next week Thursday, and Chico Da Silva, auctioneer extraordinaire, will start calling for bids from 10:30am.
Prior to Thursday’s auction at 10 President Street in Germiston, Consolidated will also sell a multitude of catering equipment, also at Auction Park but in the showroom. At this sale bidders can expect new and used restaurant equipment, bakery and butchery items, tables, chairs, kitchenware, refrigeration lots, spaza containers, assorted appliances, work-wear, and large quantities of domestic and cleaning chemicals and detergents.
Added to the mix are LDVs, cars and trucks. “We mean what we say when we talk about sales spread across all sectors,” says Da Silva.
“Last week we brought to market industrial properties in Richards Bay before going to Cape Town for the sale of a prime Peninsula Property, Solole Game Reserve, a vest tract of land of some 260 hectares. This week we’re back at our nerve centre in Gauteng selling wholesale-style to the public a vast quantity of varied, loose
assets.”
Tuesday’s catering auction also starts at 10:30am.
