Two properties up for grabs
29 June 2012 | The Citizen
The first lot is located on the corner of Makkaree Street in Weltevreden Park and consists of two similar sized adjoining erven which measure just over 1 300m² each.
The first erf features a double storey residence complete with
entrance foyer, a lounge and conversation pit, a dining room, a kitchen and scullery, four bedrooms, the main one of which is en suite, two family bathrooms and a guest cloakroom with shower.
In addition to the “basics”, this erf also features multiple “plusses” in the form of a snooker room and bar, a gymnasium, domestic accommodation, large garages, a Jacuzzi, a swimming pool and thatched lapa.
The second erf features two cottages, a single garage, domestic accommodation with laundry and an incomplete squash court.
According to Jaco du Toit of PVA, each property will initially be sold separately and then again as one lot. The highest bid or combination of bids will then be accepted.
Given the nature of the lot, Du Toit explains that it will pique the interest of those with extended families or enterprising individuals on the lookout for potential guesthouse or rental opportunities.
The lot is due to be auctioned on site on Monday, July 2 at 11am. The second property PVA has been tasked to auction at the beginning of July is located at 57 Kolberg Drive in the upmarket suburb of Glenvista in Johannesburg.
A double storey facebrick residence, 57 Kolberg occupies an area measuring just over 1400m² and features a lounge and TV lounge, an entertainment with built-in bar, a kitchen, three bedrooms, the main one of which has its own en suite bathroom, a family bathroom, a double garage with office situated above it, swimming pool and thatched lapa.
“Clean lines and modern features combine to make 57 Kolberg a highly appealing property ideal for an up-and-coming family.”
Fifty-seven Kolberg will go under the hammer on site on Tuesday, July 3 at 11am.
