The monthly antiques faire takes place on the Upper and Lower Levels of Nelson Mandela Square – from 9am to 4pm – with the biggest collection of antiques, collectibles and decorative arts on sale.

Adding a new dimension to collecting is the annual BMW Concours which will be showcased on the square with a showing of classic BMW models such as the 745i, 333i, 325is and 530MLE.

As the largest and most successful antiques fair in the country, the Nelson Mandela Antiques Fair has become a famous attraction, not only with local collectors but with the many thousands of tourists who pass through Johannesburg and who marvel at stumbling on such a unique antiques fair equal to any of the top international antique markets.

Collecting has universal appeal.

Whether you are looking for a rare book or comic, collect porcelain, silver or glassware, or simply love collecting old pieces, the Antiques Fair has it all – and more!

The antiques industry has shown remarkable resilience and remains one of the best investment options with investors snapping up valuable antiques, art, stamps, coins and collectibles – investments that not only appreciate over time but will give infinite pleasure.

Vintage cars and the more contemporary classic cars have a particular niche in the collecting world with rare and classic cars attracting car aficionados from far and wide who gather to admire the workmanship of past designs.
