WARNINGS: Very cold, wet and windy conditions are expected over the interior of the Western and Eastern Cape, the interior of the Northern Cape, Free State and the southwestern highground of KwaZulu Natal, persisting until Sunday. Snowfalls are expected over the central and eastern highground of the Western Cape, the highground of the Eastern Cape and the southern highground of the Northern Cape. It will be heavy in places. Heavy falls of rain are expected in places over the Eastern Cape as well as in places over the Eden District in the Western Cape. Very rough seas with waves heights in excess of 4m is expected between Mossel Bay and Port Alfred.

GAUTENG

Partly cloudy and cold with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the north, where it will be cool.

MPUMALANGA

Partly cloudy and cool, but warm in places in the lowveld with isolated showers and thundershowers in the highveld, but scattered in the extreme southwest.

LIMPOPO

Partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the southwest.

NORTH WEST

Partly cloudy and cold with isolated showers and thundershowers, but scattered in the south where it will be cloudy.

FREE STATE

Cloudy and very cold with scattered to widespread showers and thundershowers. Snowfalls are expected in the south.

NORTHERN CAPE

Partly cloudy in the west, otherwise cloudy and very cold with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers in the east, but widespread in the southeast where snowfalls is expected.

The wind along the coast will be strong south-easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy and cold in the west, otherwise cloudy and very cold with isolated to widespread showers and thundershowers, but general rain and showers are expected along the south coast. Snowfalls are expected over the eastern highground.

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-easterly.

EASTERN CAPE

Cloudy and cold to very cold with widespread showers and thundershowers, but general rain and showers in the south and snow on the highground.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Cloudy and cool to cold with scattered showers and thundershowers, but isolated in the north. It will be very cold over the southwestern highgrounds.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly.
