Drag racing case postponed

JOHANNESBURG - The case against a hip-hop artist and another man accused of killing four Soweto teenagers while drag racing was postponed for further investigation by the Protea Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

Molemo Maarohanye, better known as "Jub-Jub", and his friend Themba Tshabalala were allegedly drag racing when they hit and killed four Soweto school pupils on Monday.

The two had been charged with culpable homicide, for now.

Thousands of students from different Soweto schools picketed

outside court, yielding placards calling for justice.

Court number 7 was packed with relatives of the deceased, policemen and the media.

The case was postponed to March 17.
