Soccerex holds last SA festival
KABELO MASENG
JOHANNESBURG - South Africa will be bidding farewell to the world’s leading football business exhibition Soccerex when it takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre this Saturday prior to the 2010 Fifa World Cup draw.
However, Soccerex CEO Duncan Revie said the football festival will continue with the winning culture as it moves to the 2014 Fifa World Cup hosts, Brazil for the next four years.
In its last showing in South Africa the convention is said to be bigger and better with a two-day football festival and three days of exhibitions and networking where 100 countries and over 3 000 delegates are expected to attend.
Revie said teams from England, South Africa, Holland and Brazil will be featured.
“This will give the nations that are bidding to host the 2018 and 2022 World Cup the opportunity to see how things are done here as well as to sell their campaign to nations that will be in attendance,” said Revie.
