‘Zuma won’t get fair trial’

CEDRIC MBOYISA

The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) has decided to go court in its bid to have corruption charges against ANC leader Jacob Zuma thrown out of court.

“The ANC president will and can never get a fair trial, and therefore an urgent intervention is necessary,” said the Young Lions in a statement.

ANCYL president Julius Malema said the league would look at the possibility of making a presentation to the court as an interested party.

“This case has been going on for almost seven years. Justice delayed is justice denied,” he said.

If JZ has nothing to fear and he is in fact, innocent, then why is he doing what he can to dodge a fair trial? Surely an innocent person would welcome a verdict to prove him so?

I agreed with Malema, all cases must be withdraw because there is no truth

My Dear julius malema, is justice actually what you want for Zuma? and you and your willfully blind, slogan chanting henchman want Zuma's corruption trial to be thrown out of court....?where is the justice in that? And you are good at making powerful statements as any of your other predecesors, but what i fail to find is the sense and logic in your statements and you don't make any effort to explain them. One thing for sure is that the thought train of a confused mind never fails to amuse me,and you my friend, would do well in a career of stand up comedy (at least people will take seriously there)

This trial has been going on for far too long now. NPA must decide whether they have a case against JZ or if it remains a prima facie case which may not be winnable.

lest, there shouldn't be some media hype about the messy affairs on JZ's involvement on the arms deal. we the public, need to be fed with the truth.

It seems that the ANCYL have only one duty and that is defending their president, because the only you hear a statement from it is when they talk about the arms deal. The suprising part is that they have their own problems as it was evident from their last national conference.

One of the reasons the trial has not started is because of JZ'z appeals to any court who will listen to subdue evidence that might implicate him. Surely if he was not guilty, he would not mind this evidence being presented in an open court to vindicate him? Until he has had his 'day in court' how can the people trust him. Corruption is taking money from the mouths of the poor and it has to be dealt with, no matter who you are!!

Haven't the delays in Zuma being tried been the result of his legal team using every delaying method to the courts of appeal? What happened to the ANCYL demand that he have his day in court?

Justice delayed is justice denied! Absolutely..... But Mr Zuma has tried every possible route to delay this trail (having said he looks forward to his day in court). If you have nothing to hide then why not go to trial as fast as possible and prove your innocence? Mugabe has the "Green Bombers" and War Vets - Jacob has the ANCYL. There are too many parallels between the "New SA" and a destroyed Zimbabwe
