Opel Crossland X Enjoy 1.6TD to land on SA shores soon

Opel adds a diesel option to the Crossland X Enjoy derivative.

Based on the Crossland X Enjoy petrol derivative, the diesel variant will be available with Park-Assist, Cruise Control, heated and folding side mirrors and a 12-V power outlet in the front of the cabin. Also featured in the cabin are six-speaker Intellilink Infotainment system which supports Bluetooth®, USB, MP3 and auxiliary input while a reverse camera remains optional.

As for safety features, Opel includes six airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), Hill-Start Assist and Lane Departure warning while the seats in the back come fitted with ISOFIX. The vehicle is also fitted with Anti-Theft Alarm, Immobiliser & Remote-Controlled Central Locking.

The diesel variant coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox returns with a manufactured claimed, combined fuel consumption of 5.4L/100km from its 1.6-litre turbocharged powertrain which is able to produce 68 kW and deliver 230 N.m of torque.

Unitrans the local Opel distributor, will introduce the Crossland X Enjoy 1.6TD at R348 450 to dealerships nationwide by mid-June 2019 and will come with a 3 year / 120 000 km warranty and roadside assistance, a 3 year / 60 000 km service plan and a 12 year / unlimited kilometre anti-corrosion warranty with service intervals scheduled at 12 months or 15 000 km.
