The City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) is trying to establish the cause of a power outage affecting parts of Alberton and surrounding areas.

“CoE is aware of the outage affecting Alberton and surrounding areas,” said CoE in a statement.

Affected businesses and residential homes include those in Brackenhurst, Brackendowns, Alrode, Mayberry Park, Randhart, Meyersdal, General Alberts Park, Albertsdal, and surrounding areas. As the city tries to establish the cause of the outage, no estimated restoration time (ERT) has been provided.
