Saheti celebrates Grade One pupils’ love for chess

The school’s Grade One pupils have shown an interest in taking chess as an extramural activity.

A love for chess starts early at Saheti School.

The school’s head of marketing, Anna Botha, said this year they have seen a huge uptake in extramural chess by over 40 Grade One pupils alone, who are enjoying professionally coached classes weekly.

“In addition, chess is part of the Grade One curriculum in the third quarter,” she said.
