Help for teens battling substance abuse
The clinic offers support, care and guidance to youth in the grips of substance abuse.
Since opening its doors in September, the multi-disciplinary team of the Care Teenage Substance Abuse Clinic, in Pretoria Road, has been offering substance abuse rehabilitation and treatment to male and female teenagers aged between 13 and 18. The Strong Treatment model has been approved by the Department of Social Development and caters for both in- and out-patient care as well as offering family support throughout the programme. Set in a healing and supportive environment the root of abuse as well as underlying metal health factors are addressed. Seen here are Ntombi Mahlangu (registered nurse), Suzette Dippenaar (practice manager) and Nozuko Ngombane (care worker).
