The Wings for Life World Run is a global charity event where thousands of people around the world start running at the same time and are connected virtually via a running app.
This year runners can take part at their favourite running spot and the app will measure distance using its live tracking system.
The app also motivates and entertains participants in real time through an audio experience – how cool is that – and chases everyone with a virtual finish line.
Knowing that 100 percent of the R180 entry fee goes to Wings For Life in aid of spinal cord injuries will make that beer afterwards taste even better.
The run takes place on Sunday, May 9, 2021; start time is 1pm.
