How to pay your EMPD traffic fines

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department says paying traffic fines is one way of making sure you stay out of trouble with the law.

A traffic fine is a notice issued by a law enforcement official to a motorist or any road user for violating traffic laws.

According to the EMPD, traffic fines can be paid through the following channels:

• At any clerk of the court in the area in which the offence was committed.

• At any EMPD cashiers.

• On the Pay-city website.

• And through third-party channels, such as ABSA, FNB, Standard Bank or the South African Post Office.
