Aspiring local DJs are invited to participate in the Battle of the DJ’s competition, hosted by Mind Alert, at Xhungu Brothers in Khutsong Ext. 4 on 3 June. The event organiser, Gladwin Mgwandi, says the event aims to give back to the community and provide a platform for up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent. The organisers would like to bring events back to Khutsong South and generate support for local performances. The first prize in the competition is R2 000, followed by a second prize of R1 500 and a third prize is R1 000.
