The Carletonville Community Forum (CPF) chairperson, Mr Dawie Harman would like to make Carletonville residents aware that the Carletonville CPF is active. There are different sectors around Carletonville that will be formed according to the streets and the Sector 2 committee has been elected in Ext. 9. Residents from Geldenhuys, Barkhuizen, Rautenbach, De Bruyn, De Villiers, Jacobs, Wolmarans, Shelton, Grolman, De Wet, Van Amstel, Joubert, Kriek, Stofberg, Ryan, Baard, Van Der Westhuizen, Albertus, Grundling and Swanepoel streets all fall under Sector 2 and community members who reside in these streets can join the Sector 2 community forum. Anyone who would like to join can contact the deputy chairperson or Whatsapp group administrator, Mr Theuns Rheeder at 082 921 8695. According to Harman, there are patrols around different sectors that take place on a regular basis. The CPF and the SAPS conducted a search around several liquor outlets on Friday 22 July and checked liquor licences and searched individuals for weapons and illegal substances. Harman made it clear that the CPF is only there to prevent crime. The Carletonville CPF will be hosting different awareness campaigns and events.
