Eight people have been left injured this morning after a taxi and light motor vehicle collided at the Leslie and William Nicol Road interserction in Fourways, Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene shortly after 0615 this morning to find that the taxi had come to a stop on the side of the road while the light motor vehicle had stopped in the middle of the intersection.
Several passengers from the taxi, as well as both drivers, were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that eight people had sustained injuries a
ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to various hospitals for further treatment.
The exact cause of this collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
