An elderly man has died while hiking with a group of people in Klipriviersberg Nature reserve in Johannesburg this morning.
The man was not breathing at the time ER24 paramedics found him lying in the hiking trail around 11h00.
Immediate resuscitation efforts were started, but unfortunately they were unsuccessful and the man was declared dead on the scene.
It is believed that the man suffered an asthma attack before paramedics could get to him.
ER24 Paramedics notified local authorities of the incident.
