A man, believed to be in his 30s, is in a critical condition when he was knocked over by a light motor vehicle on Atturbury Road in Pretoria.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene to find the man lying in the left-hand lane. The light motor vehicle that hit the man had come to a stop a short distance away.
The man was assessed and found to be in a critical condition, having sustained serious injuries to his head and legs.
Paramedics treated the man and immediately initiated advanced life support interventions, in an effort to stabilize their vital signs.
Once treated, the man was transported to Kalafong Hospital for urgent treatment.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman, was assessed and found to have escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
