“Memories of my little Mbalienhle come and go, as a loss of a child is never easy.” These were the words of Maggie Matlou whose baby girl died after being operated on by a local doctor last year.
On Sunday afternoon two families were rejoicing after the final verdict concerning Ikageng’s controversial doctor, was issued by the Health Professions Council, in Boksburg.
On 4 August, Dr. David Gaotingwe Sello, known to most as Dr. Sello was found guilty on all 26 counts that were laid against him and was deemed unfit to continue practicing medicine. Numerous complaints were made including the death of the 1-year-old Mbalienhle Matlou.
Sello performed a skin graft on Mbalienhle, however, she never woke up and was declared dead at her home in Ikageng, last year.

Matlou expressed joy and relief that Sello has been found guilty and that his medical licence to has been revoked.
