According to a municipal spokesperson, the late Mr Thabo Malatjie was apparently shot in Lesotho.
Malatjie was the ward councillor of Ward 4 in Khutsong Extension 3 and was the only independent candidate to win a ward in last year’s local elections.
A memorial service will be held tomorrow at 14:00 in the Khutsong Community Hall.
His funeral service will be held in the same hall on Saturday.
