The Carletonville police say the incident happened on 7 September. Personnel at the Exact store in the Carletonville Mall were busy with routine tasks when five unknown men stormed in at 13:05. Two pulled out firearms and pointed them at the staff.
The robbers then forced the staff members into a back room and tied them up. They then took almost a hundred cell phones from the safe and ran from the scene.
The police are looking for anyone who might have seen the vehicle in which the robbers escaped or has any other information that might lead to their arrest.
Anyone with information should contact the Carletonville police at 018 787 9300.
