Rhino cricket club still striving

They recently played against Randfontein.

The Rhino Cricket Club, based in Khutsong, has been very active this year as they have been involved in different matches this year.

The coach Mr Jan Makgathe has returned to the field after a recent accident which affected his career as his leg has injured for several months since last year.

He is part of the senior cricket team alongside Coach Songezwa Mgijimi as they have been competing in a league as well as championships. The senior team played at Wanderers Cricket Stadium this past Sunday and recently the under 18 team played in Krugersdorp against the Swaneville Cricket Club.

The team has rising stars such as Oarabile Mogojane and Inga Ngwase from Relebogile Secondary School. The club also played a tournament at Randfontein Cricket Club and some players were selected from the club to represent West Rand in the Jozi Cup.

The senior team members who are represented West Rand was Jan Makgathe, Bokang Maseko, Songezwa Mogijima, Mpumi Neku as well as Kagiso Thulani.
