Fund established to help families of yesterday’s accident victims
Anyone is welcome to help.
A group of residents from the Fochville area have established an emergency fund to help the families and victims of yesterday’s horrible accident where 12 learners from Kokosi were killed.
According to an attorney from the town, Mrs Charlmarié Peché-Kroeze, community members from Fochville felt the need to assist families of the school children from Rocklands Primary School and Laerskool Blyvooruitsig, as well as the taxi driver who died in the accident.
They established a trust fund that will be managed by Van der Merwe Peché Attorneys in Fochville.
A businessman from this town, Mr Wimpy Jacobs, made the first contribution.
The name of the fund is Kokosi Matshediso Fund. Matshediso means “condolences”.
Residents who want to help can check the attached form. Please use the reference K493 when making a contribution.
Meanwhile a local funeral agency has also volunteered to do free funerals for the deceased.
