Man wanted for questioning in rape case

The man is believed to be in the Fochville area.

The community is asked to be on the lookout for a man wanted for questioning in a recent rape.

The police’s Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit in Fochville is looking for the man in this picture.

The West Rand District Police spokesperson, Captain Solomon Sibiya, says he is wanted for questioning about a rape case that happened at Kokosi, Extension 6 in April.

According to police a community member was assaulted and repeatedly raped. At the time of the incident, the victim fought back and managed to kick the suspect and escape.

The rapist, who was wearing black trousers and jacket with brown boots, was speaking Sotho and was very aggressive.

Police ask that anyone who can positively identify this man must call the investigating officer, detective Constable Mushamula on 081 407 3109 or 08600 10111.
