A man was killed and another badly injured during an incident in Blybank earlier this week.
The crime took place at a tavern in Dove Street.
As far as could be determined an argument broke out among some of the visitors at about 07:00 on July 28.
During the fight two men were stabbed with broken glass bottles. One, who was 26 years old, passed away at the scene while another 24-year-old was badly stabbed.
The victim was rushed to hospital. The police arrested two men, both in their 30s, in connection with the murder and attempted murder.
