Family assaulted, cash and valuables robbed at Carletonville supermarket

A group of business robbers assaulted a woman and her son at their shop in the Carletonville CBD, demanding cash.

According to information received from Carletonville police, the 60-year-old owner of Sahal Supermarket in Osmium Street, his wife (53) and their son – who is in his 20s – were inside the shop at 19:30.

The robbers grabbed money from the till, the wife’s cellphone, and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.
