Armed robbers raid Carletonville business, stealing cash and cellphones

These criminals are ruthless and do not take no for an answer.

Armed robbers struck a restaurant and tavern in the Carletonville CBD last week.

This incident took place on November 10. According to reports, staff were busy inside Marcellos in Emerald Street at approximately 21:00.

Suddenly two men walked in. The men, who spoke Sotho, pulled out firearms and pointed it at the staff and customers. They ordered everyone to lie on the ground and demanded their money and cellphones.

The thugs also ordered an employee to open the cash register.

The suspects fled with two cellphones and an undisclosed amount of cash.
