A woman was kidnapped from a home in Onyx Drive in Carletonville on November 13.

Three armed men gained entry into the residence as the woman, who is a Zimbabwean, opened the door for a resident arriving home at 20:20.

Once inside, the Sotho-speaking suspects asked for the wife of a man known to them. They told her that her husband owed them money and enquired about his whereabouts.

When the woman told them her husband was underground as he was an illegal miner, they grabbed all the cellphones in the house as well as the wife before fleeing the scene. By printing time, it was unclear whether the wife had been found.
