Two men shot and left injured in Blybank

The motive for the shootings is still unknown.

Residents of Blybank found more than they bargained on when they went to check their street this week.

This incident took place on November 20.

People staying near the corner of Swift Street and Pelican Avenue in Blybank heard several gunshots near their house at approximately 19:30.

They went to investigate and saw a white Toyota Tazz with Gauteng number plates in the street.

The residents went to have a closer look, and saw two heavily injured men inside the car. Both had been shot in the stomach.

The bystanders immediately phoned for help and the men were rushed to Carletonville Hospital.

The police in Carletonville are now investigated two cases of attempted murder.
