Pedestrian shot in Greenspark, police investigating
The victim was brutally attacked.
A pedestrian was shot in Greenspark this week.
The 52-year-old man was walking home on November 27.
As he walked through Patrys Street at approximately 02:00 he started speaking to a woman.
He had just given her a cigarette when an unknown man approached them. The suspect, who spoke Sesotho, took out a firearm and shot towards the victim’s legs, before running away without saying another word. The victim, who was shot twice in his left leg, was rushed to Carletonville Hospital, where medical staff determined that his leg was broken.
The police in Fochville are investigating an attempted murder case. Anyone who might have any information that can lead to the arrest of the perpetrator can call the crime stop line at 08600 10111.
