The police in Carletonville are investigating murder and assault charges after a party in Carletonville turned into a crime scene.

These crimes occurred on Lignite Street in Carletonville early on April 25.

The victim and his friend arrived at the party and were relaxing when a fight broke out. During the party, a squabble broke out, and another party-goer stabbed the victim (31) in his chest.

His friend (40) tried to intervene, but was stabbed in his back.

The victim died at the scene while his friend was taken to Carletonville Hospital.

As far as could be determined, the party-goers were intoxicated when the crimes took place.
