Activist launches transformative book ‘Healing from the Mother Wound’

The book focus on generational healing, emotional wellness, and empowerment.

Renowned mental health activist and transformational life coach, Puseletso Modimogale, successfully launched her deeply moving and empowering book, Healing from the Mother Wound”, on May 11, 2025, coinciding with Mother’s Day.

The event, held in Johannesburg, was a celebration of healing, self-empowerment, and emotional transformation. The book is a collaborative project authored by Modimogale alongside seven dynamic women who each shared their personal journeys of overcoming generational trauma and reclaiming wholeness.

Modimogale, who is also the founder of the Mind Retirement Institutea mental health-focused organisation that has led several impactful initiatives in the Merafong City areadescribed the launch as the start of a movement toward deeper self-awareness and intergenerational healing.

The event featured a powerful panel discussion, hosted by co-author Tshegofatso Mosadi, where co-authors engaged in thought-provoking conversations on healing from emotional wounds, the importance of inner work, and creating safe spaces for growth.
