Manhunt launched after armed robbery in Blybank

The robbers stole money, seven cellphones, and a silver Renault Kwid, which was later recovered in Lenasia.

Police have launched an urgent manhunt for three suspects following a violent house robbery in Dove Street, Blybank, on the morning of Friday, 7 June.

According to police reports, a 42-year-old resident was hosting a gathering with friends when the group was ambushed at gunpoint by three men. The armed robbers, who communicated in Sesotho, demanded money and cellphones from the victims.

The suspects made off with all the cash in the group’s possession, seven cellphones, and the keys to a silver Renault Kwid belonging to one of the victims. They fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.

Police later recovered the Renault Kwid in Lenasia, but the suspects remain at large. Investigators are following leads, and the search continues.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in locating the suspects.
