Young Eritrean business owner hijacked in broad daylight in Blybank

A young business owner had a harrowing experience while delivering goods in Blybank on October 17.
The 25-year-old, an immigrant from the northeast African country Eritrea, had driven his white Ford Ranger bakkie to the area around 13:00 to deliver chicken and meat to local spaza shops.
As he stopped in Hornbill Street to offload his goods, a grey VW Polo pulled up alongside him. Three unknown men emerged, and one of them pulled a firearm, demanding the keys to his bakkie.
The owner had no choice but to comply. The suspects fled the scene in his vehicle.
By printing time, the stolen bakkie had not yet been recovered.
