Although she had no cash, the robbers stole her handbag and three cellphones before fleeing on foot.

House robbers struck a home toward the eastern side of Carletonville on October 31.

A resident (29) of a back room at a house in Cactus Street was asleep in her room at 22:00.

She was woken up by someone breaking open her door.

Suddenly, two masked men stormed in.

The thugs spoke isiZulu and were armed with a crowbar and a firearm.

They demanded money, but when the woman said that she did not have any, the robbers grabbed her handbag and three cellphones.

They fled the scene on foot.
